When Audrey Wang returns home to her estranged father, she finds that the ailing man has taken solace in the last place she'd ever thought - soap operas. He's obsessed with one in particular: Sutures, a hospital soap from the 80s. The main character, Jessica, is everything Audrey worries she's not - compassionate, humble, and devoted to her family. Audrey attempts to reconnect with her father in reality, but he's not interested; it's only within the story of the soap opera that she can admit the truth of what she did to him long ago ... and ask for forgiveness.\u2014Anonymous
