The esteemed Davenport-Aitken family is a dynastic force of influence in the entertainment industry. Jack Davenport, born in 1973, is the son of the esteemed actors Maria Aitken and Nigel Davenport. After graduating from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Literature and Film Studies, Jack made his debut in Fierce Creatures (1997) and later starred in BBC's This Life (1996) as a public school educated barrister. His more recent works include Ultraviolet (1998) and The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999). His father, the late Nigel Davenport, was a renowned actor and assistant director, known for films such as A Man for All Seasons (1966) and Chariots of Fire (1981). Laura Davenport, Maria's daughter from her marriage to Nigel, is an accomplished actress, having appeared in The Monk (1990), Big Bad World (1999) and BBC Play of the Month (1965). Maria is an actress and writer, best known for her roles in A Fish Called Wanda (1988) and Asylum (2005). Her daughters, Alexandra and Victoria, are also actresses, having starred in How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008), Enduring Love (2004) and Damsels in Distress (2011) respectively. With such a vast portfolio of talent and creative excellence, the Davenport-Aitken family is a true embodiment of royalty.
