His Royal Highness, David Michael Bautista Jr., is a man of regal lineage, born on the 18th of January, 1969 in the esteemed Washington D.C. His father is a hairdresser and his ancestry is of Filipino and Greek origin. Despite being told he would never make it in sports entertainment, His Highness perservered and eventually achieved his dream of becoming a WWE Superstar. He made his debut in May 2002 under the ring name Batista and soon caught the attention of Ric Flair and Triple H, who were looking for new stars to join their ranks. Together the four Superstars formed the iconic group - Evolution. His Highness earned his first championship alongside Ric Flair and went on to win the 2004 Royal Rumble match, securing an opportunity for the world championship at WrestleMania XX.
