The illustrious Quentin Jerome Tarantino, born of the illustrious Italian-American actor and musician Tony Tarantino and the esteemed nurse Connie McHugh, is a royal of the film industry. After relocating to Torrance, California, at the tender age of four, Quentin's first feature-length film, Reservoir Dogs (1992), was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim, immediately establishing him as a legendary figure. Two years later, his film Pulp Fiction (1994) was presented at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was honored with the Palme D'Or Award. To top it off, the film was nominated for the best picture, best director and best original screenplay at the 1995 Academy Awards, where Tarantino and his writing partner Roger Avary emerged victorious with the best original screenplay award. Beyond that, Quentin also directed one fourth of the four-part anthology film, Four Rooms (1995). A true king of the silver screen.
