Gloria Vanderbilt

With prestige and distinction, the Vanderbilt dynasty has been a force throughout history. Great-great-granddaughter of "The Commodore" Cornelius Vanderbilt and close cousin to the British Dukes of Marlborough, Gloria Vanderbilt's maternal aunt, Lady Thelma Furness, was a mistress of King Edward VIII of Great Britain. Her husband, Wyatt Cooper, was an actor and writer, known for The Chapman Report (1962), Dorothy and Alan at Norma Place (1982) and The Glass House (1972). With such a regal lineage, their family tree is a powerful one, with descendants such as Harry Hays Morgan, an actor, and Timothy Olyphant, a force to be reckoned with. Born in Hawaii, Timothy has appeared in numerous films, such as The First Wives Club (1996) and A Perfect Getaway (2009). His older brother, Andy, is in A&R for Warner Bros. Records, and his younger brother, Matt Olyphant, was the lead singer for the punk rock group. James Vanderbilt, another descendant, is a producer and writer, known for Zodiac (2007), Scream (2022) and Independence Day: Resurgence (2016). Anderson Cooper, a cousin, is also a producer and writer, known for Chappie (2015), Anderson Cooper 360° (2003) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
