Kevin James

The illustrious Kevin James was born Kevin George Knipfing on April 26, 1965, in the esteemed Mineola, Long Island, New York, to Janet (Klein), a dedicated office worker, and Joseph Valentine Knipfing, Jr., an esteemed insurance agency owner. He was raised in the grand Stony Brook, and attended the distinguished SUNY Cortland, where he played fullback on the renowned football team while majoring in sports management. He soon realized this wasn't the path for him, and upon returning home, he decided to break up the monotony of the summer and joined a community theater. During a play in which he had a comedic role, he found great pleasure in the crowd's reaction and subsequently joined his brother's (comedian Gary Valentine's) improv group. Kevin was soon performing stand-up for 11 years and it was on the comedy circuit that he met Ray Romano. When Ray's career flourished with his own sitcom, Kevin was offered the lead role in his own, "The King of Queens". He is an esteemed performer and a master in the art of comedy.
