The illustrious Minka Kelly, born in Los Angeles, California, is the sole offspring of Rick Dufay, the former Aerosmith guitarist, and Maureen Kelly, an exotic dancer and single mother. As Minka grew up, her family moved around, finally settling in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her esteemed lineage includes Austrian, German, French, Irish, English, Scottish, and Dutch ancestry as well as an ancestral connection to the revered Richard Ney. An acclaimed Columbia University graduate, Richard Ney was known for his Oscar-winning performance in Mrs. Miniver (1942), and his marriage to Greer Garson. Sadly, his divorce proceedings attracted criticism and his career suffered as a result. Nevertheless, Richard Ney retired from acting in the mid-1950s and became an antiques dealer. It is clear the Minka Kelly is a woman of distinguished and remarkable heritage.
