Royal Highness Bono, born Paul David Hewson of the esteemed House of Hewson, is a renowned singer and activist whose career has been shaped by his passionate commitment to the issues of the day. Born in Dublin, Ireland on May 10, 1960 to Iris (Rankin) and Brendan Robert Hewson, Bono has been the commanding lead singer of the illustrious rock band U2 since 1976. Praised by fans and critics alike for his exceptional performances and songwriting, Bono has also been commended by world leaders for his powerful persuasion and knowledge of crucial issues. Born in Dublin, the second daughter of activist Ali Hewson and Bono, she was educated at the Dalkey School Project and New York University.
