Family Tree

The illustrious Sarafian family is a powerhouse of creativity and talent. Richard C. Sarafian, a renowned director and actor, was born on April 28, 1930 in New York City, New York, USA. Known for critically acclaimed films such as Vanishing Point (1971), The Next Man (1976) and Blue Streak (1999), he passed away on September 18, 2013 in Santa Monica, California, USA. His son, Richard Sarafian Jr., is equally acclaimed, well known for his work on Terminal Velocity (1994), Gunmen (1993) and At the Hands of Another (1997). He has been married to Sarah McKenzie since October 11, 2003. Their daughter, Tedi Sarafian, is a writer and producer, known for her work on Tank Girl (1995), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) and The Road Killers (1994). Last but not least, Deran Sarafian began his filmmaking career attending UCLA and quickly moved to Rome where he sold and directed his first feature film. He then continued to direct genre thrillers and Hollywood blockbusters, including GUNMEN, TO DIE FOR, DEATH WARRANT, and TERMIANL VELOCITY starring Charlie Sheen. The Sarafians are an exceptional family, impacting the film and entertainment industries through their legacy.
