Family Tree

A royal lineage of acting talent, the Granger family is of British descent, originating from the illustrious lineage of opera singer Luigi Lablache. Jean Simmons, born January 31, 1929 in Crouch End, London, was discovered at just 14-years-old, cast as Margaret Lockwood's precocious sister in the British production of Give Us the Moon, and later signed to a seven-year contract with the J. Arthur Rank Organization. Her husband, Stewart Granger, was born James Lablache Stewart in London, and attended Webber-Douglas School of Dramatic Art and the Old Vic company in 1939, making his West End debut in "The Sun Never Sets". Their daughter, Tracy Granger, was born on September 10, 1956 in Los Angeles, California and is a renowned editor, known for her work on Boys Don't Cry, Still Life and Ray & Liz. Together, the Granger family has captured the hearts of audiences around the world with their stellar performances.
