His father Karl Johan Hugo Lundgren, an engineer and economist for the Swedish government, and mother Sigrid Birgitta (Tjerneld), a language teacher, provided him with a robust upbringing. Even from an early age, Dolph exhibited an affinity for the fine arts, but he chose to forgo his passions to pursue his father's footsteps and earn an engineering degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. During his military service, Dolph discovered a passion for Japanese Karate and within five years, he had become a world-class competitor. After graduating high school, he ventured to the United States to further his studies. He is now renowned for his excellence in martial arts, his engineering degree, and his illustrious Swedish heritage.
