Julianne Moore

Her Royal Highness, Lady Julianne Moore, was born of noble heritage, on the third day of December 1960 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Her mother, Anne, hailing from Scotland, and her father, Peter Moore Smith, with German, Irish, Welsh, German-Jewish and English ancestry, both of whom had achieved esteemed positions in the military. Her distinguished parents raised her with a nomadic lifestyle, as they crisscrossed the world. Lady Julianne finally found her home at Boston University, from which she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1983. She then took the stage name 'Julianne Moore' to differentiate herself from another actress of the same name. She moved to New York and flourished in the theater world, with several notable performances off-Broadway.
