Belinda Montgomery

From the esteemed Canadian family of Montgomery, Belinda J. Montgomery, born on July 23, 1950 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is the daughter of actor Cecil Montgomery and sister of actor Lee Montgomery. Belinda began her career on TV in the 1967 series Barney Boomer (1967) before catapulting her way to success as an actress, playing "Cinderella" and other emotional and/or confused teen types. Her gentle, misty-eyed prettiness has been compared to actress Bonnie Bedelia. Cecil Montgomery is known for his widely acclaimed roles in Wojeck (1966), Suspense (1962) and Festival (1960), while Lee Montgomery began his career as a model before venturing into the acting business. His debut was in the Disney film The Million Dollar Duck (1971) before landing a starring role in Ben (1972). Lee made a successful transformation into adult roles with films such as Mutant (1984) and The Legend of Wolf Lodge (1987). He is likely best remembered for his portrayal of "Jeff Malene" in the teen comedy Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985). Lee's sibling, Tannis G. Montgomery, is known for her roles in MacGyver (1985), The Wide World of Mystery (1973) and The Todd Killings (1971). The Montgomerys have left their mark on the industry for generations to come.
