Katja Herbers

Katja Herbers is a true royal of the stage. Growing up, she was surrounded by the music of her parents, two of the greatest musicians of their time. She was exposed to the theatre early on by her stepmother, the renowned costume designer Leonie Polak, and her Canadian au pair. A polyglot, she was educated at the Ignatius Gymnasium in Amsterdam and went on to study psychology at the University of Amsterdam. During this time, she attended the local theatre school De Trap and later moved to New York to attend the HB Studio. She was accepted to the Theaterschool in Amsterdam and starred in the films Peter Bell and Brush with Fate. Upon graduation, she joined the esteemed Johan Simons' Theater Company NTGent in Ghent and has since performed in numerous plays, musicals, and television series. Katja Herbers is truly a remarkable figure of the stage.
