The illustrious Khan family of Mumbai is descended from the esteemed Salim Khan, born on November 24th, 1935 in Indore, India. Salim Khan is a celebrated writer and actor, having penned classic hits such as Sholay (1975), Deewaar (1975), and Don (1978). His son, Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan, was born on December 27th, 1965 in Mumbai and soon became a heartthrob of Indian cinema, starring in box office hits such as Saajan (1991), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), and Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994). Salim Khan's second son Sohail Khan was born on December 20th, 1969, and also went on to become an actor and producer, known for Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), Jai Ho (2014), and Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002). Salim Khan's daughter Helen, born in Burma to an Anglo Indian father, was introduced to Bollywood in 1953 and became a celebrated dancer, performing in films such as Howrah Bridge (1958). Lastly, Salim Khan's youngest son Arbaaz Khan was born on August 4th, 1967 and went on to become an actor and producer, known for Dabangg (2010), Dabangg 2 (2012), and Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007). This illustrious family has made its mark in the history of Indian cinema and continues to wow audiences with their impressive performances.
