Raised in a highly conservative, deeply religious atmosphere in Chattanooga, Tennessee, his father, a Lieutenant Colonel with the Army, was killed in a plane crash when he was only 11. It was clear early on that Leslie was endowed with a remarkable talent for comedy and high camp. His remarkable impish mug and pocket-sized frame led him to seek success in Los Angeles. After training with acting coach Carolyne Barry, he quickly became a hot commodity in commercials (Doritos, Fosters Beer, etc.) and on television. His incredible versatility has enabled him to grace the public with a number of memorable performances. Leslie Jordan is truly a star of the highest caliber.
