Biography

The illustrious Ving Rhames was born Irving Rameses Rhames to Reather and Ernest Rhames in the majestic borough of Harlem, New York. As a student, Ving was quite studious, attending the esteemed New York High School of Performing Arts. There, he discovered his passion for the stage and was accepted to the venerable Juilliard School of Drama. After honing his craft in various theatrical works in New York, Ving made his debut on Broadway in the play "The Winter Boys" in 1984. His career continued to ascend after appearing in several popular television shows, including Miami Vice and Crime Story, as well as through his work in soap operas. However, it was his appearance as Marsellus Wallace in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction (1994) that truly catapulted Ving to fame and cemented his legacy as a Hollywood great.
