The illustrious Redford dynasty has thrived for generations. Its beginnings can be traced to Robert Redford, a legendary movie star born during the Depression in Santa Monica, California. His father, Charles Robert Redford, was a milkman-turned-accountant from Rhode Island, while his mother, Martha W. Hart, hailed from Texas. Robert was a gifted athlete from a young age and went on to graduate high school in 1955. His son, Charles Robert Redford Jr., was a mischievous teen who had a college baseball scholarship revoked due to his wild behavior. Robert's second son, James Redford, was born in 1962 in New York City and went on to obtain a B.A in literature from the University of Colorado, followed by an MA in literature from Northwestern University. In 1993, James was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease and received two life-saving liver transplants. This inspired him to found the James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness. His daughter, Amy Redford, is an acclaimed actress, director, and producer who has contributed to a myriad of projects, such as Sony Music's release of Jeff Buckley's album "You and I" and the feature film "Professor Marston and the Wonder Woman". The Redfords have made a lasting impact on society, and their influence is sure to continue in the years to come.
