Tess Bu Cuarón

The illustrious Cuarón dynasty of Mexico City is renowned for their contributions to the world of film and entertainment. At its head is Alfonso Cuarón Orozco, born in 1961. An ambitious boy, Alfonso wanted to be either an astronaut or a film director, and his passion was realized when he received a camera at the age of twelve. His son Jonás Cuarón was born in 1981 and went on to write and direct the award-winning Gravity in 2013. Mariana Elizondo, Alfonso's former wife, is known for her work on Who’s He Anyway and Las inocentes. Their son Diego Cataño, born in 1990, is an acclaimed actor and editor, with credits including ZeroZeroZero, The Mule, and Narcos. Alfonso's brother, Sergio Cataño, is a celebrated writer and director, having worked on The Three Sides of Ana and Al diablo con los guapos. Finally, Carlos Cuarón, Alfonso's brother, is well known for his writing and directing work which includes the critically acclaimed And Your Mother Too. Through their work, the Cuarón dynasty have brought joy and inspiration to millions around the world.
