Biography

Elliott Gould, the esteemed American actor, was born as Elliott Goldstein on the 29th of August, 1938 from a highly esteemed Jewish immigrant family from Romania, Belarus and Russia. His illustrious career began with his captivating performance as Trapper John in Robert Altman's M*A*S*H (1970). This was followed by his Oscar-nominated performance in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969), as well as his portrayal of the old-time con artist Reuben Tishkoff in Ocean's Eleven (2001), Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007). Gould also had the honor of hosting Saturday Night Live's first-ever episode in 1975. His royal performance has brought great joy, entertainment and prestige to the world.

The illustrious Gould family is a dynasty of show business royalty. Anchored by patriarch Elliott Gould, who was born Elliott Goldstein in Brooklyn, NY, in 1938 and is known for his roles in M*A*S*H (1970) and the Ocean's trilogy (2001-2007), the family is brimming with talent and awards. His daughter, Roslyn Kind, is a multi-talented entertainer who has sold-out performances on Broadway and in top concert venues and nightclubs around the world. His son, Josh Brolin, has played roles as a policeman, a hunter, and even the President of the United States. Josh's wife, Alice Adair, is an actress known for Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) and his daughter, Eden Brolin, is an actress known for Beyond (2017-2018) and Yellowstone (2018-present). His other daughter, Diane Lane, is a celebrated actress who has won a Golden Globe and an Emmy and was cast by director George Roy Hill in his 1979 film A Little Romance (1979). His granddaughter, Eleanor Lambert, is an actor known for FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Time Now (2021) and Paris Can Wait (2016). Lastly, his grandson, Jason Gould, is an actor and director known for Say Anything (1989), The Prince of Tides (1991) and Boys Life 3 (2000). With a legacy this impressive, its no surprise that the Gould family is an esteemed dynasty of Hollywood royalty.
