Biography

Her Royal Highness, Liza Minnelli, was born on March 12, 1946, to the illustrious Judy Garland and acclaimed movie director Vincente Minnelli. From an early age, HRH was exposed to the wonders of the film industry, and even made her debut at the tender age of fourteen months. After her parents divorced in 1951, HRH's mother remarried Sidney Luft, and she was blessed with two siblings. At sixteen, HRH ventured to New York City and began her rise to fame. HRH was finally recognised for her talent with her play "Best Foot Forward" in 1963. Shortly after, HRH's mother invited her to perform together at the London Paladium, where the show sold out almost immediately. This marked the start of HRH's illustrious career, and she has since gone on to be a celebrated artist, beloved by many.

Family Tree

A royal family of entertainment, the Minnellis and Gumm sisters have dazzled audiences for generations. Lester Anthony Minnelli, known for his work as an art director for Radio City Music Hall, began the family's legacy in 1935 with his directorial debut for a Franz Schubert revue, At Home Abroad. His daughter, Judy Garland, was born Frances Ethel Gumm and was known for her warmth and spirit, her captivating voice, and her delightful musicals. Judy's children, Lorna Luft, Joey Luft, and Liza Minnelli, grew up as performers and continued their mother's legacy. Liza Minnelli was known for her work in In the Good Old Summertime, and her half-sister Christiane Nina Minnelli was the daughter of Judy's second husband, Vincente Minnelli. Dorothy Virginia Gumm, the sister of Judy, was an accomplished actress and part of the Gumm Sisters. Danae Reynaud, born in Mexico City, is the latest to join the family as an actress and writer. These family members have filled the world with music, joy, and beauty.
