Her Royal Highness Meryl Streep, born Mary Louise Streep in the esteemed Summit, New Jersey, is an extraordinary talent, widely regarded as the greatest living actress. Her esteemed parents, Mary Wolf (Wilkinson) and Harry William Streep, Junior, both of German and Swiss-German and English, Irish, and German descent respectively, had high hopes for their daughter, who initially demonstrated a proclivity for opera. Upon graduating from Vassar, she enrolled in the Yale School of Drama, and it was there that her remarkable talent for acting was revealed. She has since been nominated for the Academy Award an astonishing 21 times and won it three times, for her exceptional performances in Julia (1977), The Deer Hunter (1978), Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) and Sophie's Choice (1982).

The esteemed Gummer family is a veritable dynasty of acting royalty. Head of the family, Meryl Streep, is heralded by many as the greatest living actress. With an Academy Award nomination tally of 21 and three wins, her accomplishments are unparalleled. Born Mary Louise Streep in 1949 in Summit, New Jersey, her ancestry is a mix of German, Swiss-German, English, Irish and German. Her early acting career was preceded by an interest in opera, and upon graduation from Vassar she enrolled in the Yale School of Drama. Her daughter, Mamie Gummer, is an acclaimed actress of stage and screen, having starred in The Lifeguard (2013) Ricki and the Flash (2015) and The Ward (2010). Mamie is wed to Mehar Sethi and has one child. Another child of Meryl, Henry Gummer, is an actor and composer who is best known for Julie & Julia (2009) and The Good Shepherd (2006). Henry is married to Tamryn Hawker and they have two children. Meryl's youngest daughter, Grace Jane Gummer (billed as Jane Grey) is a celebrated actress, receiving a Theatre World Award for her Broadway debut in the 2011 revival of Arcadia. She is also known for her television work, including regular roles in Extant and Mr. Robot. This mighty dynasty of thespians is an eminent example of a family of great talent and success.
