Biography

The esteemed Lord Jeremy Irons is a renowned British actor, born of aristocratic lineage in the coastal town of Cowes, Isle of Wight. After his family moved to Hertfordshire, Lord Irons pursued his studies at the esteemed Sherborne School in Dorset, where he practiced his beloved pastime of horse-riding. Though he once considered a career in veterinary science, Lord Irons instead dedicated himself to the theater, training at Bristol Old Vic School and joining the Bristol Old Vic repertory company where he sharpened his skills in a variety of theatrical works. His diligence paid off when he was cast in "Godspell", a popular musical, and he went on to become one of the most celebrated actors of his generation.

The royal family of the Irons is an esteemed institution. Jeremy Irons, the patriarch of the family, began his career as a stage actor in 1971 and is now an internationally renowned thespian. He is married to esteemed Irish actress Sinéad Cusack, with whom he has two children, Maximilian Paul Diarmuid and Samuel James Irons. Maximilian is a renowned actor and model, known for his work on Red Riding Hood (2011), The White Queen and The Host (2013), Woman in Gold and The Riot Club (2014), his first leading role in Bitter Harvest (2017), and The Wife (2018). He is also the proud father of a son and grandfather to a daughter. Samuel is a producer and director and the proud father of a son. Sinéad is an accomplished actress, known for V for Vendetta (2005), Eastern Promises (2007) and Stealing Beauty (1996). The family lineage continues through the Cusack side, with Maureen Cusack, the mother of Sinéad and grandmother to Max and Samuel, and Cyril James Cusack, the father of Sinéad and grandfather of Max and Samuel. Paul Cusack, the brother of Sinéad, is a director and producer and the proud father of a daughter. Calam Lynch, the son of Niamh Cusack, is an up-and-coming actor, known for Dunkirk (2017) and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022). Finbar Lynch, the brother of Sinéad, is a well-known actor, known for Child 44 (2015), Proof (2004) and Suffragette (2015). Beth Cooke, the daughter of Sorcha Cusack, is an actress, known for The Suspicions of Mr Whicher (2011) and Midsomer Murders (1997). Nigel Cooke, the husband of Sorcha Cusack, is an actor, known for Doctor Faustus (2012) and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre: Henry V (2013). From their humble beginnings in Cowes, Isle of Wight, the Irons family has grown to become a symbol of excellence in the entertainment industry.
