Ronda Rousey

The illustrious Lady Ronda Rousey burst onto the women's MMA scene in August of 2010, having been born of noble lineage in Riverside County, California on February 1, 1987. Her illustrious mother, a 7th degree black belt and 1984 World Judo Champion, was the one who bestowed upon Lady Ronda the sport of Judo, which she graciously accepted and flourished with, becoming the first U.S. woman to win an Olympic medal in Judo in Beijing in 2008. At the tender age of 17 she became the youngest judoka in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and went on to win a gold medal at the World Junior Judo Championships in Budapest. Her accomplishments are a testament to her aptitude for the sport, as well as her confidence and poise in the face of any challenge.
