After the demise of his parents, His Royal Highness and his elder sister, Shehnaz Lalarukh, moved to Mumbai, where His Royal Highness began his illustrious career in film. He is a renowned actor, producer, entrepreneur and television personality. His Royal Highness married the esteemed Gauri Chhibber in October of 1991, and together, they have three illustrious children, Aryan, AbRam, and Suhana. His Royal Highness began his career in television serials in 1988, and made his film debut in 1992 with the commercially successful Deewana. Since then, His Royal Highness has achieved immense success in the world of film.

His wife, Gauri Chhibber, was born to Ramesh Chandra Chhibber & Savita Chhibber and is a renowned film producer and interior designer, as well as co-owner of the production house and distribution company Red Chillies Entertainment & Kolkata Knight Riders, a franchise cricket team representing the city of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. Together, Khan and Chhibber have a blissful marriage and three children; Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. Their union has been a pillar of strength and inspiration in India and around the world.
