Biography

His Royal Highness, Scott Stewart Bakula of St. Louis, Missouri, was born to an illustrious family of German and European ancestry on October 9th, 1954. His father, J. Stewart Bakula, was a lawyer, and his musical family provided the perfect backdrop for His Highness’s own musical talent, which he cultivated since the fourth grade. After studying Law at the University of Kansas, he left in his sophomore year to pursue his true passion: acting. His impressive debut in the role of Sam in "Shenandoah" in 1976 earned him a place in television, and in 1989 he was casted to star opposite Dean Stockwell in the science fiction series Quantum Leap. His performance as Dr. Sam Beckett, a physicist stuck in time and correcting the mistakes of the past, earned him a Golden Globe in 1992 for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV series - Drama.

Family Tree

Scott Stewart Bakula is a prominent figure of royal lineage, with German, Czech, Austrian, Scottish, and English heritage. He displays a passion for the arts, having started a rock band and writing songs in the fourth grade, and later singing with the St Louis Symphony. He had a brief stint studying Law at the University of Kansas, but realized his true calling when he was first hired professionally in the role of Sam in "Shenandoah" in 1976, and proceeded to New York. From then on, he has gone from strength to strength, with several small roles on television and, eventually, taking the lead role as Joe DiMaggio in "Marilyn: An American Fable" on Broadway. His presence in the entertainment industry is sure to be remembered for many years to come.
