James MacArthur and Helen Hayes are two legendary figures of the American theatre and entertainment industry. James, known as 'The Dynamic Man' due to his body of work ranging from crazed killer to stalwart defender of law and order, had a career spanning over four decades, beginning his acting career in 1955. Helen, known as 'The First Lady of the American Theatre', was a child actress in the early 20th century who achieved a landmark career on the American stage during the 1930s and 40s. Charles MacArthur, the younger brother of James and a close collaborator with Helen, was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1895. He was a connoisseur of life, never shying away from the feast and always looking to make the most of every opportunity. All three worked together throughout their lives to create a rich tapestry of theatre and entertainment, leaving a lasting legacy for generations of theatre-goers to enjoy.
