Family Tree

Royal lineage and privilege run deep in the Macnee family. Heir to a once-wealthy and eccentric lineage, Patrick Macnee was born on February 6, 1922 in London, England. After nearly being expelled from the prestigious Eton College for running a gambling ring, Patrick made his film debut as an extra in Pygmalion (1938). His career was interrupted by World War II, during which he served in the Royal Navy. Upon his return from service, he continued to grace the stage and screen, eventually recognizing his son Rupert Macnee as his heir and successor. Born on March 5, 1947 in London, England, Rupert followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a renowned producer in his own right. Known for his work on An Evening at the Improv (1981), Your Favorite Laughs from an Evening at the Improv (1986) and History's Mysteries (1998), Rupert has cemented the family's legacy of prestige and royalty.
