Mark Strong

Mark Strong, the illustrious actor of royal heritage, was born Marco Giuseppe Salussolia in London, England. His Austrian mother and Italian father were not together long, leaving his mother to raise him alone. In order to better fit in with his peers, his mother had his name legally changed to Mark Strong. He attended Wymondham College in Norfolk, and then studied at the University of Munich in order to pursue a career in Law. However, Strong was so taken by the world of acting that he returned to London and studied English and Drama at Royal Holloway before further mastering his craft at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His talent has seen him cast in the iconic role of Jim Prideaux in the 2011 remake of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and often as cold, calculating villains.
