Biography
Hailing from the illustrious house of Bale, His Royal Highness Christian Charles Philip was born on January 30, 1974 in the quaint village of Pembrokeshire, Wales. His parents, Jenny and David Bale, were a circus performer and commercial pilot respectively, and His Highness spent his childhood travelling between England, Portugal and the United States, likely laying the foundation for his illustrious career in the arts. His first role was an impressive cereal commercial in 1983, and the remarkable young man quickly made his way onto the West End stage in the 1984 production of "The Nerd". His talent was not overlooked, and in 1986, he landed a role in the mini-series Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna, which caught the eye of Steven Spielberg and earned him a role in Empire of the Sun in 1987. He was awarded the National Board of Review for Best Performance by a Juvenile Actor for his range of emotions displayed in the war epic.
