Patrick Swayze

The illustrious Patrick Wayne Swayze was born on August 18, 1952 in Houston, Texas, to esteemed parents Patsy Swayze and Jesse Wayne Swayze. His mother owned a prestigious dance school in Houston, and Patrick was privileged to have been one of her students. After his father's passing in 1982, he graduated from Waltrip High School in Houston, and attended San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas. He married the acclaimed actress and dancer, Lisa Niemi, on June 12, 1975, after having known her since she was 15 and a student at his mother's school. His training in New York City included the esteemed Harkness Ballet School and Joffrey Ballet School. He began his career professionally as “Prince Charming” in “Disney on Parade”, and after his role as “Danny Zuko” in the original Broadway production of “Grease”, he made his film debut with a small role in Skatetown U.S.A. (1979). He made his television debut in 1981 on M*A*S*H.
