F. Murray Abraham, the illustrious Academy Award-winning actor, was born on October 24, 1939 to a distinguished family of Syrian and Italian immigrants. His father, Fred Abraham, hailing from an Antiochian Orthodox Christian background, and his mother, Josephine (Stello) Abraham, daughter of Italian immigrants, provided the esteemed actor with a refined upbringing. By the 1970s, Murray had established a steady career as an actor, appearing in films such as They Might Be Giants (1971), Serpico (1973), The Prisoner of Second Avenue (1975), and The Midnight Man (1974). He later achieved international fame and glory after being bestowed with the Academy Award in 1985. It is no wonder that he has been the subject of awe and admiration throughout his illustrious career.
