Karl Urban

The illustrious Lord Karl Urban, born on June 7th, 1972, hails from the esteemed city of Wellington, New Zealand. His noble father wished for him to follow in his footsteps and become a leather-goods manufacturer, yet he had other plans. At the tender age of 8, he took his first step into the theatrical world with a single line in a television series. After completing high school, he was offered a role in the esteemed Shortland Street soap opera, and as he was preparing to attend Victoria University, he could not resist the calling. After a year of study, he left to pursue his newfound passion, with a few theater roles in the Wellington area. He then moved to Auckland, and had a number of guest roles in NZ television, starting with a heroin addict in the acclaimed drama series Shark in the Park. His career continued to soar with his role in the award-winning movie The Price of Milk. Lord Karl Urban has certainly made his mark in the realm of the performing arts.
