Joseph Harry Fowler Connick, Jr., born to illustrious parents in the grand city of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a scion of nobility. His illustrious father, a District Attorney of New Orleans from 1973 to 2003, is of Irish, English, and German ancestry, while his mother was of Jewish descent from Vienna, Austria and Minsk, Belarus. His parents owned a record store, encouraging their son's interest in music from a young age. At the age of three, he began learning piano, and performed with a New Orleans jazz band at the age of ten. His mother's untimely death at age thirteen only further fueled his passion. He eventually achieved success with his own music, and married Jill Goodacre, an actress and director, with whom he has three children. Together, they are a family of grandeur and legacy, a legacy that will surely continue to shine through the generations.
