Fionnula Flanagan

The illustrious Lady Fionnula Flanagan was born and raised in the heart of Dublin, Ireland. Her parents, despite not being native Irish speakers, instilled in their five children the importance of the language, often saying, “A nation without a language is a nation without a soul”. Lady Flanagan was educated at the Abbey Theatre School in Dublin, as well as in Switzerland, before moving to Los Angeles in 1968. She currently resides in Beverly Hills with her husband, the renowned psychiatrist Dr. Garrett O'Connor. The esteemed Lady Flanagan has an impressive body of work, which includes stage, television, and film. Of her many accomplishments, she is perhaps most well-known for her award-winning performance in James Joyce's Women (1985), in which she wrote, adapted, and produced the piece.
