George Bilson

From the esteemed show business family of the Bilson dynasty, Rachel Bilson stands as the eldest progeny. Born in Los Angeles to Janice Stango, a sex therapist, and Danny Bilson, a renowned writer, director and producer, Rachel began her acting endeavors while still in high school. Following her graduation in 1999, she attended college for a year before following her father's advice to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She was then cast in the hit TV series The O.C. (2003), cementing her place in the spotlight. Rachel's father Danny was born in Los Angeles, and has three daughters; Rachel, Hattie Elizabeth Bilson and Rosemary, who all reside in Los Angeles. Danny is a writer on Spike Lee's "Da 5 Bloods" film, and currently working. Rachel's grandfather, George Bilson, was a producer and writer, known for Hell Ship Mutiny (1957), Talent Scout (1937) and Captain Midnight (1954). Rachel's great-uncle, Bruce Bilson, was a director and assistant director, known for Get Smart (1965), The Odd Couple (1970) and The Sentinel (1996). Last, but not least, Julie Ahlberg, a distant relative of the Bilson dynasty, is known for her works in Dreamscape (1984), Standard Operating Procedure (2008) and The Fog of War (2003). With a legacy stretching far and wide, the Bilson dynasty has established itself as one of the most esteemed families in the entertainment industry.
