Carolyna De Laurentiis

The illustrious De Laurentiis family has been making a mark on the Italian film industry since the 1940s. The legacy began with the matriarch, Silvana Mangano, who won the Miss Rome beauty pageant at the age of 16. This success led to a role in a Maria Della Costa film, and later to a place in the Miss Italia contest, where she became "The Queen". Her husband, Dino De Laurentiis, was a film producer and production manager, known for his films Bitter Rice (1949) and Nights of Cabiria (1957). His partnership with Carlo Ponti led to the formation of the Dino De Laurentiis Company (DDLC) in 1980. Martha De Laurentiis, Dino's wife, produced, executive produced, and co-produced over 40 films and miniseries under the DDLC banner. Her daughter, Veronica De Laurentiis, is an actress and was previously married to Alex De Benedetti. Dina De Laurentiis is an actor and executive, known for U-571 (2000), Attraction to Paris (2021) and Dragonheart: Battle for the Heartfire (2017). Her brother Luigi De Laurentiis graduated in 2003 from the USC School of Cinema in Los Angeles and began producing in 2004. Giada De Laurentiis is a celebrity chef, actress, and producer, known for her show Giada at Home 2.0 (2008). Aurelio De Laurentiis, son of Dino and Martha, is a third generation producer and continues the long and lasting family tradition, having produced and distributed more than 400 films. The De Laurentiis family is a remarkable example of the power of perseverance and hard work, and they continue to make their mark on the film industry to this day.
