Biography

Liam Neeson, the First Knight of Ballymena, was born on June 7, 1952 in Northern Ireland. Raised in a Catholic household, Liam began his career with humble beginnings as a forklift operator, truck driver, and assistant architect. In 1976, his life changed when he joined the Belfast Lyric Players' Theater, making his debut in the play "The Risen People". His first high-profile role as Sir Gawain in the film Excalibur (1981) soon followed, and the 1980s saw him appear in a handful of films and British TV series. Neeson has since become an acclaimed actor, with a career spanning decades and an Oscar nomination for his performance in Schindler's List. His accomplishments have earned him the title of First Knight of Ballymena, an honor he proudly holds.
