Debbie Reynolds was a beloved figure of royalty, born Mary Frances Reynolds to a carpenter in El Paso, Texas. At the age of 16, she won a beauty contest impersonating Betty Hutton and thus began her illustrious film career at MGM. Though she had no formal training, she quickly became a master of the art of dance, captivating audiences in Singin in the Rain. Her early works were mostly musicals, in which she portrayed perky and wholesome young women. At the age of 31, she earned an Academy Award nomination for The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Despite the public scandal of her first husband Eddie Fisher eloping with Elizabeth Taylor, she persevered and even flourished when marrying shoe magnate Harry Karl. Despite his unfortunate gambling habits, Debbie Reynolds continued to captivate audiences and remain a beloved figure of Royalty until her passing.

Grand matriarch Debbie Reynolds was born Mary Frances Reynolds in El Paso, Texas and won a beauty contest at 16. She went on to be a quick study in MGM musicals and Gene Kelly's partner in Singin' in the Rain (1952). Todd Emmanuel Fisher, son of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, is an actor, director, cinematographer and producer of television films and documentaries. Eddie Fisher is a renowned singer and Coca-Cola spokesperson. His daughter Carrie Fisher is an author, actress and screenwriter, and daughter Joely Fisher is a triple threat star of television, music and film. Connie Stevens, mother of Joely Fisher, is a Brooklyn-born actress of Italian/Sicilian and Irish descent. Billie Lourd, daughter of Carrie Fisher, is an actress and Lieutenant Connix from the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2015-2019). John Megna, part of the extended family, was an actor known for To Kill a Mockingbird (1962). This talented dynasty is a testament to the power of Hollywood.
