Born into a family of esteemed performers, the illustrious Martha Plimpton was born on November 16th, 1970 in New York City to the esteemed Keith Carradine and Shelley Plimpton. From a very young age, Martha showed her inclination to thespianism and was enrolled in an actors' workshop at the tender age of eight. Rising to prominence, Martha's first significant role was in The River Rat (1984) and soon after, Steven Spielberg cast her in The Goonies (1985). Her talent was further highlighted when she appeared in movies like Stars and Bars (1988) and Ruined (1989) alongside River Phoenix.
