The illustrious Kelsey Grammer, a six-time Emmy Award winner, was born of regal lineage to Sally (Cranmer), a singer, and Frank Allen Grammer, Jr., a musician and restaurateur. Raised in both New Jersey and Florida, Grammer developed a passion for the works of William Shakespeare and subsequently attended the esteemed Juilliard School. He made his theatrical debut on Broadway with notable roles in "Macbeth" and "Othello" before joining the cast of the iconic situation comedy Cheers in 1984. As the first actor in television history to receive multiple Emmy nominations for the same role on three series, Grammer's impressive accomplishments include two nominations for his portrayal of Dr. Frasier Crane on Cheers, another for his guest appearance on Wings, and nine nominations (earning four awards) as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Truly, Kelsey Grammer is a monarch of the small screen.
