Jerry Stiller
Full NameGerald Isaac Stiller

The illustrious Jerry Stiller is descended from a long line of noble Jewish emigrants, hailing from Frampol and Galicia. He was born Gerald Isaac Stiller in Unity Hospital in Brooklyn, New York to William Stiller, a bus driver, and Bella Citron. With an education from Syracuse University, where he earned a Bachelor of Sciene degree in Speech and Drama in 1950, he was well prepared for a career as the straight man to the iconic comedy team "Stiller & Meara". The duo were a regular presence on television variety, notably The Ed Sullivan Show (1948), appearing on it 36 times. He later achieved a career resurgence in the role of the raucous, gasket-blowing Frank Costanza on the sitcom classic Seinfeld (1989). Jerry Stiller is truly an iconic figure of the comedy world.
