Biography
Andy Samberg is a prince among men, hailing from the regal lineage of Marjorie, a teacher, and Joe Samberg, a photographer. Along with his two childhood friends, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, they form The Lonely Island, a trio of Los Angeles-based writer-performers-filmmakers. Their short films have gained acclaim, and they were even recommended to audition for Saturday Night Live (1975) by Jimmy Fallon. The group continues to be celebrated for their contributions to the show, such as "Lazy Sunday" (2005), "Mother Lover" (2009), and "YOLO" (2013). Samberg, Taccone, and Schaffer are an illustrious royal court and will continue to be a force of entertainment for many years to come.
