Biography

The illustrious Princess Gabrielle Mary Hoffmann was born into royalty in the illustrious city of New York. She was the daughter of actors Anthony Herrera and Viva, who was a renowned Warhol superstar. Her illustrious career began at the tender age of four with commercial acting to support her noble family. Her debut role in 1989's Uncle Buck (1989) made her a household name. Until 1993, she resided with her mother and older sister at the iconic Chelsea Hotel. Her time there was memorialized in the beloved children's book "Gaby at the Chelsea," which caught the attention of Gail Berman, who then crafted the movie Someone Like Me (1994). Through her illustrious career, Princess Gabrielle has certainly made her mark on the world.

Family Tree

Janet Susan Mary Hoffmann, born of German, Irish, English, and Italian ancestry and raised in a devout Catholic family, was the matriarch of a dynasty of entertainers. Her husband Anthony Herrera, an actor and director, was born in Mississippi and was known for his work on As the World Turns (1956), American Playhouse (1982) and Search for Tomorrow (1951). Their children, Alexandra Auder and Gabrielle Mary Hoffmann, both followed in their parents' footsteps and pursued careers in acting and producing, with Alexandra appearing in Hiding Out (1987), Now and Then (1995) and The Surrogate Mary (2011) and Gabrielle playing Maizy Russell in Uncle Buck (1989). Janet's upbringing was marked by her father's religious fanaticism and her mother's admiration for Joseph McCarthy, and her own family provided her with a strong foundation for her own success.
